Light Microscopy
The Bioimaging Centre offers an extensive portfolio of cutting-edge light microscopy and imaging technologies, enabling researchers to investigate biological systems from whole tissues and organisms to individual cells and sub-cellular structures. Distributed across the core Bioimaging Facility and the Translational Imaging Suite within the RILD Building, our capabilities include widefield, confocal, spinning disc, TIRF, light-sheet, live-cell and super-resolution microscopy, together with multispectral slide scanning, laser microdissection and innovative correlative fluorescence-Brillouin microscopy (Brill-FM). These platforms are complemented by powerful image analysis infrastructure through the LSI Image Analysis Hub (LIAH) and dedicated workstations, supporting advanced visualisation, quantitative and deep-learning neural network image analysis. Our experienced imaging specialists provide expert support throughout the entire imaging workflow, from experimental design and acquisition to data analysis and interpretation.
