Volunteering opportunities with the University Grounds team!

GIVE (Garden Involvement Volunteers Event)

Would you like to get involved in work on our beautiful grounds alongside the University Horticulturists on Streatham Campus?

The monthly volunteering sessions are open to University students and staff who would like to be involved in the care and maintenance of the beautiful and diverse grounds on Streatham Campus.

The Grounds team run a volunteering session every month - view the dates and book .

No previous experience is required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in!

All tools and training will be provided.

Please wear suitable footwear and outdoor clothing and bring a drink. If we are lucky enough to have a sunny day, please also bring a hat and sun cream.

You are welcome to bring your lunch and stay with us after the session.

Please note that these sessions are open to University students and staff only - we cannot accommodate family members, friends, dependents or individuals who are not affiliated with the University.

Veg Heads

Would you like to get involved in the ongoing maintenance of the Grounds veg garden and growing vegetables for the University kitchens?

The Grounds team run a volunteering session every Thursday fortnight from 10am to 12pm between April and September - view the dates and book .

The sessions are based at the Grounds veg garden at the top of Streatham Campus; what3words ///bills.ages.coins.

No previous experience is required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in!

All tools and training will be provided.

Please wear suitable footwear and outdoor clothing and bring a drink. If we are lucky enough to have a sunny day, please also bring a hat and sun cream.

Photography and Filming Notice

Please be aware that photographs and/or video footage may be taken during these volunteering activites. These images may be used by the University of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and its partners for promotional, marketing and communication purposes.

This may include use in:

  • University publications, prospectuses, guides and magazines
  • Printed promotional materials
  • University websites
  • Social media channels
  • Communications with stakeholders, funders and members of the public

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform the photographer or a member of the Grounds team when you arrive, and every effort will be made to ensure your wishes are respected.
