About this course:

Open and reproducible research is becoming a key part of the research ecosystem.

In this presentation, you will find out a bit about why this has narrative has emerged, how the core issues are framed, what mechanisms exist to offset these issues, and why you should engage with this narrative.

If you know your open research, you will find out how the university (and the sector) might be allowing you to wield this narrative to your own benefit in the job market and fellowship/grant application journey.

If you have never even heard these terms, this is your chance to get ahead of the curve.

This will be a 30-40 minute presentation, with time for questions/discussions at the end.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Understand open and reproducible research in the current research landscape.

- Understand how to incorporate open and reproducible research practices into your own your research.

- Understand how (and why) open and reproducible research practices might be important for your career.
