We believe in nurturing and empowering our students' talent, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, whether they are looking to launch a new app, start a social enterprise, develop an innovative new product or simply flex those entrepreneurial muscles to see how it feels. We provide support, training and opportunities for funding and collaboration with like-minded peers to help them to shape their own future.
A key way in which we support these ambitions is through our Student Startup programme for student and graduate ventures. We are one of six member universities of , the global number one university business incubator.
Our is dedicated to supporting our students' ideas from incubation to launch right through to long-term growth. Inspiration Talks are curated around themes and bring students, graduates and staff together to hear from guest speakers from different sectors. Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR) are on hand to offer advice, guidance and encouragement. Drop-in sessions and bootcamps run regularly for students to get advice and develop their business idea. And for those who feel ready to take the bold first steps in their startup journey, we offer the Stage 1 Student Startup Pre-Incubator and Stage 2 Incubator Programmes: a total 19 weeks of invaluable events, workshops, mentoring, networking and pitching opportunities.
With a strong alumni network and excellent business connections, the startup support offered at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ has propelled many an idea to reality, and secured successful ventures for our entrepreneurial students and graduates.

Achievements: In 2023, Quinn and Niki went on to launch QWERTY Commerce to support other brands strengthen their online presence. By 2026, QWERTY Beer Box is stocked by leading retailers including Fenwick, Debenhams Online, and John Lewis & Partners.
